ROEHM: Leokadia (Lottie) Roehm, Jan. 6, 1924 May 27, 2012. It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Lottie Roehm. Lottie was born in Klein Przylek, a small town in Poland. She immigrated to Canada in 1951 with her husband, Erwin (who predeceased her in 2001) and her eldest infant daughter, Erika (who predeceased her in 2006). After a short stay in Graysville, MB, the family moved to Winnipeg where Lottie lived the rest of her life. She leaves behind three daughters, Elli Roehm (Les Howard),Marita Dowsett (Eric) and Angela Roehm (Phil Pattison), eight grandchildren (Anita, Alissa, Ashley, Selene, Nathalie, Larissa, Aidan and Aaron, as well as two great grandchildren, Hudson and Paxton. Although the early years in MB were hard, Lottie exuded quiet strength offering continual support to her husband and children. She spent many hours gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and creating many kinds of needlework, pieces of which we will continue to enjoy. Lottie will be remembered for her kind words, her unassuming nature and her gentle soul. Her warm smile will remain forever in our hearts. Her funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St. in Wpg. followed by a reception in the lower level. Interment is at the Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Down Syndrome Society, 204-825 Sherbrook St. Wpg. R3A 1M5. Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, (204) 949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
