STEPHENS: Celia Elizabeth (Rice) Stephens passed away at the Wawanesa Personal Care Home on Saturday June 16th. She was born on February 23, 1914 to William and Dorothy Rice in the Riverside Municipality south of Wawanesa. Celia grew-up on a farm in the Tiger Hills and attended Lily Hill, Duncraig and Tenterfield Schools. Following her marriage to Howard Stephens, she took an active role in their farming and raising hereford cattle. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Howard Stephens, brother James, sister- in-law Pearl and daughter -in-law Carol. She is survived by her son, Bill of Winnipeg, daughter Beverly (Norman) Kalinski of Carroll, grandson Tim (Cara) Stephens and great-grand daughters Sara and Hannah of Calgary as well as many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at the Wawanesa Cemetery on Wednesday June 20th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Arthur officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Wawanesa Personal Care Home.
