STEWART: Grace Margaret. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Grace Margaret (McGillivray) Stewart, aged 87 years, on July 4th, 2012 at the Neepawa Hospital. Grace was born on November 7, 1924 to Mack & Eva McGillivray in the Glendale District. She lived on the farm there and attended Glendale School along with her younger brother, Earl. On June 23, 1947 at Franklin, Manitoba, Grace married Roy Stewart and moved to his family farm, just north-west of Neepawa. They had two daughters, Carol and Lorna. Grace worked with Roy on the farm and raised the girls. In 1959, they left the farm and moved into town. Grace loved gardening and sewing and took great pride in the fact she sewed both her daughters' wedding gowns as well as all the bridesmaids dresses. Roy and Grace joined a bowling league shortly after moving to town and enjoyed to bowl, into their retirement years. Grace was extremely proud of her 305 five-pin bowling score, a feat she never accomplished again! Family was the prime focus of her life. Grace would always be willing to babysit any of her six grandchildren at a moments notice, no matter how far she had to go to do so. And as they grew older, she was kept busy baking cookies for them and watching hockey at the arena. She also really enjoyed her afternoon drives in the country with Roy, which continued until his passing. Grace is survived by her two daughters: Carol (Dave) Bray of Neepawa and their four children; Danny (Terri), Ronnie (Jocelyn), Ken (Cathy) and Diane Bray (Matt); Lorna (Norm) Gruhn of Minto and their two sons; Jerry (Marcia) and Jeff Gruhn (Jill). There are also nine great-grandchildren: Jenna, Rylan, Ethan, Erica, Ashley, Sierra, Morgan and Kian Bray and Chaz Gruhn/Coutu. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Greta Patterson of Neepawa, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Roy in 2006, her parents Mack (1979) and Eva (1981), and her brother Earl (2007), sisters-in-law Alma McGillivray (1976), Dorothy Nicholson (2000), and brother- in-law Jack Nicholson (1988), Jim Patterson (1981) and Art Crabbe (1941). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Mark Satterly officiating. Urn bearers were, her six grandchildren with Whites Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.Bye MomWe love you
