LAKATOS: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vendel (Andy) Lakatos. With family by his side he fell asleep in death on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the age of 77 years. Vendel was born in Czechoslovakia on March 2, 1935 and came to Canada on June 6, 1957 with his wife Elizabeth. He was predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth of 46 years on September 17, 2001. Vendel is survived by his daughter Ericka (Barry) Jordison, son Robert Lakatos, grandchildren David Jordison and Amy (Ivan) Gabler. Memorial service to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3434 Park Avenue, Brandon on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Hillcrest Place for their caring and compassionate care.
