POLOWY: Evelyn Polowy of Oakburn, MB passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Shoal Lake - Strathclair Health Centre at the age of 73 years. Evelyn is survived by her husband George, son John (Nicole Chief) of Brandon, son-in-law Darryl Smyrski of Birds Hill, MB, four grandchildren and brother Frank (Delores) Ugarkovich of Toronto, OT. Evelyn was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Smyrski on June 12, 2012. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Volodymyr’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Oakburn with Very Rev. Fr. Michael Skrumeda officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Prayers will be said Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. from the church. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
