COMBS: Anne Combs, 97, of Deloraine died peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2011 in Brandon General Hospital. Born in Switzer Junction, August 29, 1915, she was the eldest child of Bernard and Dorothy (Clark) Sarson. Anne grew up in Cartwright until moving to Thunder Bay where she completed her Nurses training in 1937. She worked in health care for over 40 years in her new home of Deloraine where she met her husband of 62 years, the late Harvey Combs. She is survived by her sister Nora (Dave) Lewinski, brother Ken (Barb) Sarson, sister-in-law Eva Christensen, her children Joan (Wayne) Connors and John (Patti Campbell) Combs, 5 grandchildren Megan (Ron Fraser) Connors, Matthew (Christine Saunders) Connors, Luke (Shannon) Connors, Katelyn (Chris) Combs- Kerslake and Michael (Christina Lindsay) Combs and 4 great-grandchildren Rebecca, Priya, Tallulah and Sophia. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey (2001), sisters Mary Mowbray, Dorothy Lumb, Margaret Raymer and sister-in-law Anna Willox. Annes positive outlook, compassion for others and steadfast love and support of her family and friends will be greatly missed by all. She was dedicated and faithful to the St. Andrews Anglican Church and her community of Deloraine.
