NORDQUIST: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Daniel Lloyd Patrick Nordquist.Danny passed away in Brandon, MB, on Monday, November 12th 2012, at the age of 52. Danny was born in Brandon on March 17th, 1960. He was raised in Brandon and always considered Brandon home. After quitting school at the age of 15, he worked as a painter. Danny continued painting for 37 years of his life and in that time accomplished a lot of great work in and around Brandon. Always taking pride in his work, though the job he was most proud of was the refurbishing of Clark Hall at Brandon University. Danny met hiswife Patty in 1979 and they married in June of 1981. On Father's Day of 1989, Danny and Patty had been blessed with their first child, a beautiful little girl, Jasmine. They then moved to Dauphin, MB and Danny worked as a plumber's helper for approximately 2 years. Upon receiving a job for Hay Decorating they moved back to Brandon. He was responsible for other workers and deadlines for all contracts. In 1992, Danny and Patty were blessed with their second daughter, Kelsey. Danny was a teacher in many ways with his children and others in his life, always wanting to help and make things easier for everyone. Practical jokes were played amongst co-workers, family and friends. If he could pull off a prank he would, doing anything to make anyone crack a smile was all he intended. In 2001, Danny and family moved back to Dauphin. Danny continued painting and other jobs that needed to be done. He would do his best at anything he tried whether he knew exactly what he was doing or not, he loved a challenge. No, was not an option to him, just do the job and he would. Danny was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20 and enjoyed playing darts every Monday night with the Legion Dart Club. He always kept his hands busy with car and plane models,as well as, wood working. Danny is survived by his wife; Patricia Nordquist, daughters; Jasmine (Kris) and Kelsey (Scott) Nordquist, granddaughter; Alexandra Lynn Bowman, sister; Adene Anstett, brothers; Larry (Sharon), Blair (Heather) and Trevor Nordquist.
