RUBENIUK: Valerie "Val" Diane Rubeniuk passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Center on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Val was born August 11, 1957 in Rossburn, Manitoba to James (predeceased) and Sonya Rubeniuk. She was the eldest of four children. Throughout life Val enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening. She had the pleasure of growing up on both the farm and in the city. In 1981, Val moved to Brandon to start her own family. She had three children; Brent, Ashley, and Danny. Over the years Val had various jobs which ranged from working in a sewing factory to personal care homes within the community, but no job brought her more joy then her last which was with the Brandon School Division driving a school bus. She will be dearly remembered by her mother Sonya; son Brent; daughter Ashley (Ryan) and son Danny as well as her nieces and nephews. Val is also survived by her sister Kathy (Dennis); brother Robert (Roni), and brother Kevin (Karlyn). She will be sadly missed by the children she drove daily, her friends and most of all her family who loved her dearly. The Funeral Service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th St. North, on Monday December 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Michael Tkachuk will officiate. Cantor will be Stella Fedeniuk. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery.
