YABLONSKI:Sylvia Clementine Yablonski passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Kildonan Personal Care Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mom was born in Tluste, Poland August 1, 1922 and moved to Canada in 1930 at the age of eight. Growing up in Portage la Prairie, mom moved to Brandon, Manitoba after the war, where she married and raised her family of three children. Mom is lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her beautiful smile, engaging laugh, and colorful stories of her past experiences. Mom loved animals, always having several pets adorning the house and providing daily feedings to the neighborhood bird population. Mom is predeceased by her husband, Stanley, daughter Marlene, siblings Walter and Veronica, and her parents; and is survived by her children Cindy (grandchildren Larissa and Brent), son Randy, daughter in-law Michele (grandchildren Angela, Cara, Kevin and Tianna), sister Laurie and three great grandchildren. The family would like thank the 3rd floor staff of the Kildonan Personal Care Centre for the special attention they provided mom over the past few years. The Funeral Service was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, Brandon, on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Jerzy Urbanski of St. Joseph’s Polish National Catholic Church officiating. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes can be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200-17th Street East, Brandon, MB, R7A 7M6.
