STOTT: The death of E. Beth Stott (nee Turner) occurred on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Beth was born on Hardscrabble Farm near Invermay, Saskatchewan. She attended Mason School and later moved to Winnipeg and then Brandon. She worked at the Childrens Home (now Daly House Museum), the Durnin family home, and the Brandon Mental Hospital. She met and married George Alfred Stott in 1942 and they had two children, Wayne and Wreatha. They farmed in the Valley West of Brandon at the location where the Little Saskatchewan and the Assiniboine Rivers join. They sold the farm in 1967 and then spent several years travelling, generally spending winters in warmer climates. They travelled to New Zealand in 1974 and returned to Brandon in 1993. She has lived for the past twelve years at River Heights Terrace. She will be remembered by her children, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her sister and sister-in-law and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ceremony to Celebrate Beth’s Life will take place at River Heights Terrace, 4525 Victoria Avenue, on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Len Smith will officiate. A private family interment will take place in the family plot at the Brandon Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Beth may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Unit 5B – 457 9th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 1K2.
