SOWIAK: It is with sadness that the family of Ruth Freda Carla Sowiak, age 75, beloved wife of the late Rudy Sowiak and mother of Todd and Caroline, announce that her death occurred on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Souris Health Centre. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, Brandon on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at Memories Chapel, on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jason Zinko of Redeemer Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Minnewawa Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Ruth may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 3-824 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 5B7.
