PILCHAR: Josephine Isla Pilchar (nee Cutter) peacefully passed into heaven with her family by her side on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at her residence, Fairview Home. Josie was born December 26, 1928 in Waggle Springs (Douglas), Manitoba. Josie and John enjoyed a lifetime of love for animals, most importantly rabbits and pigeons; which carried on to award winning blood lines across the country. Josie was a member and secretary-treasurer of Manitoba Poultry Association for over forty years. In her spare time, she enjoyed the Brandon Wheat Kings Hockey, whether it be attending the games or listening from home, she never missed a game. Josie is survived by her son Dave married to Kim, and their children Shannon (Jason), Jerilyn and Ashley; daughter Janet married to Arnold Horan and their children Tanya (Colin) and Cory (Jen); daughter Sandra married to John Donohoe and their children John Jr. (Rhonda), Travis and Kyle (Brittnay); son Bob married to Simone and their children Bobbi (Mike) and Karlie; great grandchildren: Haiden, Kaysen, Jordis, Kihanna, Landen, Racy, Kaylin, Roxy and Alexander as well as her siblings May, Betty, Barry and Wilma. Josie was predeceased by her husband John; parents Jack and Isla; children Brian, Barbara, Donna and Elaine and brother, Johnny. Funeral Ceremony will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Joe Ball will officiate. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Josie may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3 or the Westman Dreams for Kids Foundation, Unit 202 – 37 11th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4J2.
