McCUTCHEON: William Robert (Bill) passed away peacefully February 5th, 2013 at his residence, Bayside Personal Care Home, Killarney, MB. Bill was born in Brandon, MB in 1938 to Robert and Jean McCutcheon. He was the oldest of four children. He was predeceased by his parents and his son Shane William. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Margaret; brother David (children); and sisters Jeannie Mackie (children); Dianne (Herb) Howard and children; his children, Darwin and his children Derych, Chantelle, Kayla, Deven (deceased 2012) and Abby; Cherylee (Ross) Farley and her children Jordan and Jason; Tammy (Dean) and her children Billy Jr., Jeremy and Deven; Collin (Monique) and his children Joshua, Daniel and Jacqueline; Tracey; grandson Brett. Bill is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. In 1959, Bill returned to school in Winnipeg, MB to attend Winnipeg Technical College where he obtained his Journeyman’s certificate for painting and decorating. Bill strove for excellence and was highly respected in his trade. He was also very verse in the construction industry. Bill never hesitated to do different projects for work, family and friends. Bill enjoyed many hobbies like gardening, making willow furniture, carpentry, hunting and fishing. Throughout his life he enjoyed taking fishing trips with his boys. There were many great stories to hear about the ones that got away. Bill enjoyed taking his kids for camping in the Rockies, hiking, fishing and plenty of water fights. His weekend camping trips routinely started with a stop at KFC on the way out of Calgary and stopping at Cochrane on the way home for homemade ice cream. “Family” played a huge part in Bill’s life; he enjoyed and looked forward to the family get togethers’ at his residence at Bayside. Bill was a sincere man with over 40 years of sobriety; he was a great father and family man. He was and is loved and admired by many. He will be remembered and sadly missed until we meet again. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bayside Personal Care Home.
