SYTNYK: Peter Sytnyk of Shoal Lake passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Shoal Lake Strathclair Health Centre at the age of 100 years. Peter was predeceased by his wife Nellie in 2011 and is survived by son Larry (Lavinia) Sytnyk of Oakburn; 3 daughters: Lil (Mel) Logan of Carroll, Lynda Wasylyshen of Oakburn and Joan (Jim) Shwaluk of Shoal Lake; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters: Phyllis Tutkaluk of Shoal Lake and Eva Hrysak of Minnedosa and brother Alex Sytnyk of Corona Del Mar, California. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Oakburn with interment following in the parish cemetery. Prayers will be said Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Father Mykhaylo Khomitskyy will officiate. If friends so desire donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
