SEDGWICK: Jean Irene Sedgwick (nee Tkachuk), beloved wife of Milton, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Jean and Milton were married in their home in 1973. The family consists of Jean’s son Sheldon Kokorudz, and Milt and Jean’s children; daughter Michelle and son Raymond and step daughters Heather, Denise and Dawn. Jean became a great cook in many restaurants and her own home. She worked as a cook at the Brandon Mental Hospital and the Brandon Regional Hospital. She looked after out-patients in her own home for 24 years. Jean also worked with the community options where she thought the world of her clients. She loved her card games, but most of all she loved the time she had with her grandchildren. Jean got sick in 1992 with a heart condition, but it seemed to not stop her. She was a very strong person. Jean leaves to mourn her loving husband Milton; son Sheldon Kokorudz (Heather Oliver); daughter Michelle (Cory) Sedgwick; son Raymond (Laurie) Segdwick; step-daughters Heather Sedgwick (Lyle), Denise (Carlo) Chiminello and Dawn Sedgwick; grandchildren: Cody, Josh, Bailey, Logan; step-grandchildren: Chad, Thomas and Marissa and many friends and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Annie Tkachuk in 1979 and Peter Tkachuk in 1981. The Funeral Ceremony took place at Memories Chapel on Thursday, March 14, 2013. Rev. Fr. Michael Tkachuk officiated. Cantor was Stella Fedeniuk. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery.
