KERR: With profound sadness, the family of Leona Jean Kerr announce her passing, peacefully in her 75th year with her loving family by her side on March 3, 2013. Survived by her 3 children, Robert, Tanis (Bill) Carter and Terri (Boyd) Sivertson, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and her special friend Tammy Olsen. She is survived by her mother-in-law Christina Kerr and her brother-in-law Ken Kerr and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her soul mate Lloyd, her mother and father Jessie and Robert Hill. Leona was born on September 18, 1937 in Rivers, MB attending school and continuing her education in Brandon attending St Michaels Academy. Leona married Lloyd Charles Kerr on July 31, 1955. Early life was spent raising 3 active kids as well as working at Doigs and Woolco. In 1971, the family moved to Goodlands, MB, where Leona focused on being a full time mom. She remained in Goodlands until her health forced her move to Deloraine in 2011. Leona cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoying their frequent visits and proud of all their accomplishments. Mom always looked forward to school breaks as it gave her the opportunity to be with her grandkids. These were magical times, she cherished.
