MASON: Mrs. Gertie Mason of Melita passed away at the Melita Personal Care Home on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the age of 105. Gertie was predeceased by her parents Rueben and Eva Underhill, son Sam, sisters Pearl and Ethyl and brother Wes. She is survived by son Barrie of Langley, BC.; daughter Barb (Kim) Rach of Winnipeg; daughter-in-law Irene Mason of Melita; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held from the Victoria United Church, Melita, MB. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Allan Gairns officiating. Interment at the Melita Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in memory of Gertie may be made to the Melita Palliative Care Fund, Box 459, Melita, MB. R0M 1L0 or to the charity of one's choice.
