USUNIER: Rollie Roger. Rollie passed away at the West-Man Nursing Home in Virden, April 5, 2013 at the age of 93. Rollie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Leona, two sons Bob (Linda) and Maurice. He has one granddaughter, Jane and one great-grandson, Bennett. He is also survived by his sisters Susie, Edith, and Marie. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Julia, three brothers; Andy, Fernie and Vital (Butch), two sisters; Cecile and Yvonne. Rollie met the love of his life Leona, soon after that they moved to Brandon, where Rollie worked as a mechanic in Shilo for numerous years. Then Rollie decided to return to farm life at Bede. Then in 1964 he bought his father-in-law’s farm in the Bernice District. In 1978 Rollie and Leona sold their farm and built a new house in Virden. Rollie was a jack- of-all-trades. Rollie’s pastimes were playing cards, horse racing, dancing, fishing and sports. He loved to tease with that twinkle in his eye and a smile for everyone. He belonged to the Catholic Church and Royal Canadian Legion. We would like to thank the Sherwood, West-Man Nursing Home, all the staff, doctors and nurses for the excellent care he received. Mass was held at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Virden, April 10, 2013, with Father Geoffrey officiating. Interment took place in Grande Clairiere Cemetery.
