WEBSTER: It is with sadness the family of Peter John Jack P.J. Webster announce that his death occurred on Thursday, April 17, 2013 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born January 3, 1922, Jack grew up on a farm near Forrest, Manitoba. He entered the army near the end of WWII where he trained in England and served in Europe just after the war was over. After he was discharged, he moved to Brandon and got a job working in the refinery. He married Doreen Margaret Hopeley in 1947. Jack worked at Anglo refinery in Brandon after the war and moved to Cape Breton in 1969, worked for Gulf Oil as an operator and then shift supervisor until he retired in 1981. Jack enjoyed belonging to several Lodges both in Manitoba and Nova Scotia and being involved with the Masons was very important to him. Jack regularly attended the United Church. He enjoyed camping, family reunions, golfing, curling, playing cards as well as crokinole and travelled extensively throughout Canada, US, Hawaii, United Kingdom and Europe. Jack is survived by his daughters Trish (Gary) Constantine and Cathy (Reed) Wolfe as well as granddaughters Allea and Deanna Wolfe. He was predeceased by his wife Doreen. The Ceremony to Celebrate Jacks Life was held at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Rev. Craig Miller of Knox United Church officiated. Masonic Rites were observed at the Ceremony. Urn bearers were Jacks granddaughters Allea and Deanna Wolfe. Interment followed in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
