TELIOU: Vasiliki “Vicky” of Brandon, passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the age of 69 years. Vicky was born and raised in Greece and came to Canada in 1979. She resided with her sister, Maria, in Carman, Manitoba until they moved to Brandon in 1993. Vicky was very much loved by her family and friends. She was always eager to help people in any way possible. Vicky is survived by her sisters: Mina and Amy of Greece, Maria of Brandon, nephews Maurice, Marc, Stephen, Scott and special friend, Eugene Dobroski. She was predeceased by her parents Eve and Vasilis Teliou and brothers Demetrios, Spiros, Christos and Vlasis. The funeral service to honour Vicky’s life was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Tuesday with Fr. Theodore Paraskevopoulos of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Winnipeg officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Vicky may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
