CAMERON: Shirley Lorraine Cameron (Culbertson). Shirley was born in 1932, to parents Bill and Grace Culbertson of Goodlands, MB. She passed away on April 12, 2013 with family at her side at the Bren-Del-Wyn Lodge in Deloraine, MB. Shirley went to the Lennox School and took her teacher training in Winnipeg. She taught at Verona School between 1949-1950. She then worked at Pat Cutt's Store for two years. She was married to Doug Cameron from 1953-1980. They had four children (Dwayne, Joelle, Brenda and Carla). Shirley loved music and spent many enjoyable hours playing the piano. She also enjoyed curling, knitting, crafts, gardening and always loved to bake. Her door was always open to anyone who would come in and have a cup of coffee with her. Shirley was a legion auxillary member for 58 years and was proud to be a part of this honorable organization. She endured many hardships throughout her life, but her strong faith in God helped her overcome these hurdles. Shirley was predeceased by both her parents, Bill and Grace Culbertson, Brothers: Glen, Roy and Blaine, Sisters-in-law: Marlene (Tingey) and Dorothy (Spence), nephews and nieces: Dale, Peter and baby Hope. She leaves to mourn her four children: Dwayne, Joelle and Bill, Brenda and Doug, Carla and Real, ten grandchildren: Jennifer, Chanda, Brad, Julie, Justin (Tara), Tory, Cayla, Daniel, Danae and Ashton, seven great -grandchildren: Rylan, Reid, Haylee, Leah, Cayden, Noah and Kahu.
