MURRAY: Owen Murray, son of Archie and Jean, passed away April 21, 2013 and leaves his wife, Betty, of 52 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Shelley Skinner (Kelly) and son, Kelly Murray (Tammy); and grandchildren, Scott and Amy Murray, and Brady Skinner; and his sister, Wilda McIntyre (Garth). He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Clem. Owen barbered in Winnipeg for 7 years; then moved to Carberry in 1965 and bought a Barbershop and Pool Hall. He later had his shop in his house; and also barbered at the Care Home. He also worked 10 years as custodian at the Carberry Elementary School. Owen spent many years coaching hockey and baseball. In the summer, he was an avid golfer and spent every morning winter and summer having coffee with boys at the Golf Club .each one having their own chair. During the winter months, Owen loved to floor shuffle at the Drop In Center. Owen is going to be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the 3rd and 4th floor of the Brandon Regional Health Centre for their care.
