GRAHAM: Marion E. Graham (Wilkinson). Peacefully, on January 27, 2013, at the Birtle Transition (Hospital), Marion passed away at the age of 93 years. Marion was born on November 2, 1919, at the Birtle Hospital and was a lifetime resident of Birtle.  She was a hairstylist for 46 years before she retired.  She was a member of St. George's Anglican Church.  She was a member of the “Pink School” and Drop-In Centre. She was an avid curler in her younger years and also loved the game of golf and you could see her and Nelson out on the course in the early morning up until a few years ago. Marion was predeceased by her husband Nelson; son Roy; mother Lottie, father Percy, brothers: George and John. She is survived by her daughter Faye (Grant) Stokell; daughter-in-law Elvine Graham, granddaughters, Marla Rice and Marcy Graham; great grandchildren: Emily, Lauren and Jack Rice; two sisters Ethel (Lorne) Wotton of Victoria, B.C. and Irene (Ben) Schmid of Winnipeg. The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and doctors at Birtle Transition and PCH for their excellent and compassionate care.  To all the Home Care Workers and Marie Pennock for their wonderful care while Marion resided at Pioneer Lodge. Special thanks to Marg Ashcroft for always being there for her and to Marie Pennock and Lois Fleury for their faithful Sunday afternoon visits. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church in Birtle. Interment will follow in the Birtle Cemetery. Rev. Laura Marie Piotrowicz will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice. Rae’s Funeral Service of Shoal Lake and Erickson are in care of the arrangements. (204)759-2160.
