WILLIAMSON: Harold Ernest Williamson of the R.M. of Odanah, MB passed away on June 11, 2013 at the age of 72 years. Harold was born in Brandon to Gladys and Harold Williamson on April 13, 1941. He was the youngest of four children. Harold lived in and worked for the City of Brandon for many years before retiring in 1997. Harold met and married the love of his life Beverley Curle in August 1963 they would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in August of this year. Harold and Bev farmed in the Odanah area for many years. He loved his farm and spent many hours in his garden and with his many and varied animals. Harold is lovingly remembered by his sister Margaret Chapman (Thory) of Brandon; sister in-laws Yvonne Kelly (Gordon) of Minnedosa, Evelyn Gutscher (Bill) of Edmonton and brother-in-law Donald Curle (Bernice). Also surviving are Aunt Alvina Paddock, nieces, nephews, cousins and an extended family of very special friends. Harold was predeceased by his loving wife Beverley, his parents, brother John (Bud) Williamson, sister Betty and brother-in-law Kelly Whittingham. A celebration of Harolds life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Minnedosa Funeral Service Chapel, Minnedosa, MB with Rev. Barb Jardine officiating. Interment will follow in the Smoland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of MB or Canadian Diabetes Association.
