JACKSON: Donna Louise Jackson of Brandon, passed away in the city on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Donna was born on August 29, 1934 to Hilda and Ray Jackson, she had two siblings, both older, Raymond and Dale. She graduated from Kelvin High and grew up in Winnipeg. Mom married at the young age of 19 to Ronald Finley and together they had five wonderful children: Wendy, David (Shelley), Ronald Craig (Susan), Barbara and Dale (Kindra). She was blessed with fifteen grandchildren: Christopher (Diane), Michael, Andrew, Rylee-Ann, Patrick, Jeffrey, Jessica, Stephen, Mitchell, Nicholas, Zachary, Hailey, Ronald- Christian, Jillian, Reed; and one great grandson, Johnathan. Once a very vibrant and energetic butterfly, Mom loved gardening and spent hours in her yard. She was a very gifted and creative artist in many talents, ceramics, sewing, knitting, and painting. In her earlier days she loved and was competitive in bridge. Donna enjoyed entertaining and being with people, music and dance, a favourite especially tap and jive. Later in life, she loved Turner Classic Movies. Even though she was quiet and content to be at home, she still dressed impeccably and loved her jewelry, always looking beautiful wherever she went, certainly eccentric! She was a lot of fun to be around with a wonderful sense of humour. Sadly she will be missed for her love of life, and all the laughter and love she gave to all who knew her. A private family service will take place at Memories Chapel. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Donna may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200 17th Street East, Brandon, MB R7A 7M6. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com. Arrangements with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 204-727-0330.
