POTTER: It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Edward Potter, son of L. Orland Potter and Thelma D. Potter (Chandler) who after a long and courageous battle, succumbed to cancer on July 17, 2013 at the age of 65. Ron was born in the Deloraine Hospital, October 13, 1947 and lived the first eight years of his life on the Renton family farm, eight miles south-east of Deloraine. Ron was a jack of all trades, but carpentry was his passion. He and his brothers built many custom homes in Calgary and surrounding areas until he moved to Vancouver Island. Once on the island he continued to build custom homes and Hi-rises with his younest brother Bill, all often accompanied by laughter, homour and a whole lot of mischief. Ron is survived by his daughter Chelsea (Chris), granddaughters Chase and Colbie. Sons: Trevor and Shaun as well as his beloved cocker spaniel “Rascal”. Also left to mourn are his parents: Orland and Thelma. Sisters: Sharon (Bruce), Patricia (Brian), Debbie, Sandy and Heather.
