ROSEVEARE: Nan Roseveare 1923-2013. Peacefully in the afternoon of August 7th, Gertrude (Nan) Anne Roseveare age 89 of Kenton MB, daughter of George and Gertie Curtis, returned to her place in heaven. Beloved wife to John Roseveare, mother to Jack (Carrene), Les (Arlene), Bill, Jim (Carol), and the late Adele, and mother-in-law to Dave. She will be dearly missed by her 12 grand children and her 3 great grandchildren, as well as her surviving siblings Hazel, Bob, Evelyn, Ethel, and Florence. Nan was predeceased by siblings Douglas, Jim, Ronald, Les, Charlie, and Margaret. Nan was born in Birch River on Sept 2nd 1923 and moved to Kenton in 1934. After serving her country in the CWAC from 1944-46 she met her loving husband John in Winnipeg and married him in Kenton on Sept 4th 1948. After living elsewhere they returned to Kenton in 1957 after buying their own farm. Nan's loving spirit, joy for life, and unintentional humour that left us all smiling, and will be greatly missed. Many of us will remember her for her community involvement with the W.I., The Legion Auxiliary, the United Church, and various other activities. Her caring nature, and her love of family and community were obvious to all that knew her. Memorial service will be held at the Kenton United Church on Wednesday August 14th at 2pm.
