TACAN: Lorraine Tacan (Akiticha Wiyan) of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her family, Partner Douglas Wambdiska, children; Shirley, Eli (Sharon), Eugene, Rodney (Colleen), Clayton, Debbie (Steve), Tony (Pearl), David (Candy), Vera (David), Adrian, Douglas (Kristan), Pauline (Jeremy); 63 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Half-sister Georgina Harris and brother Jack Chaske. Lorraine was predeceased by sisters Ethel Chaske, Tilly Chaske, Agnes Pashe, and brothers Leroy, Philip, Sidney and Willy Chaske. Evening Funeral Service will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Traditional Funeral Service will commence at Sioux Valley Veteran’s Hall on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Sioux Valley Anglican Cemetery.
