MWENDA: Marco B. Mwenda. Tragically, as a result of a car accident near Sumve, Tanzania, Marco Mwenda died on October 9, 2013 near his home in East Africa at the age of 27 years. Marco lived in Brandon from 2007 to 2012. He graduated from Assiniboine Community College with a Land & Water Management diploma and was a student in Environmental Studies at Brandon University. He made many friends while in Canada. Marco was buried in the family cemetery at Kinywang’anga village near Iringa, Tanzania on October 12. A memorial mass is being held in Brandon on Tuesday, October 15 at 7 pm at St. Augustine’s of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church at 327 4th Street.
