GRIFT: Lucy Marie Clara Grift (nee Fifi) of Brandon, MB, formerly of Pilot Mound, MB, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Valleyview Care Centre in Brandon, MB at the age of 96 years. Left to mourn Lucy’s passing are her daughters Elise (Leon) Sanders of Manitou, MB, Barb (Jerry) Devloo of Somerset, MB, Geraldine (Brian) Rowley of Pilot Mound, MB and Sharon (John) Webb of Brandon, MB, daughter-in-law Jo Grift of Brandon, MB, 26 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn Lucy’s passing are her sister Marie Côté, sisters-in-law Bertha Grift, Eliza Fifi, and Irene Fifi, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lucy was pre-deceased by her husband Gerald Grift, son Ron Grift, granddaughter Michelle Rowley, great grandchildren Trinity & Grace Murphy and Luke MacPherson, parents Achille & Amélie (nee Watrin) Fifi, brothers Albert (Catherine), Léon (Madeleine), Pete, and Tony Fifi, sisters Louise (Paul) Sauteur, and Victorine (Norman) Sibilleau, and brother-in-law Bob Côté. Eulogy will be held at 12:30 p.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, Holland, MB, Friday, November 22, 2013. Father John McKenzie celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Martin of Tours Parish Cemetery, Swan Lake, MB.
