E.Gwen, the second youngest child of Adam and Jean (nee Garven) Dalgliesh, was born on November 2, 1923 on the Ernlea farm in the R.M. of Strathcona. She went to Clifton Bank, Stockton and Belmont schools and then took a Business Course at the Dominion Business College in Winnipeg. E.Gwen and Cecil farmed together south of Belmont until 1979 when they retired to Killarney. E.Gwen always had a keen interest in the farming operations and in her family’s activities. Being a full time homemaker, she liked gardening, cooking, sewing and doing fancy handicrafts including knitting and crocheting. In her retirement, she became an avid golfer, enjoyed travelling and playing Bridge. E.Gwen was predeceased by her loving husband, Cecil, (February 6, 2013), one son, Morley Dean (1946), four sisters and three brothers.
