McAULEY: With sadness the family of Ronald James McAuley announce his passing on Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Assiniboine Centre Palliative Care Unit. Ron was born August 12, 1954 in Vermilion, Alberta. He worked as a locomotive engineer with CP Rail for 35 years. One of his greatest pleasures was riding his Harley Davidson and he was a lifetime member of HOG (Harley Owners Group). Ron loved to travel, especially after retirement, and he enjoyed spending his winters in warmer climates. He took special pride in his yard, making sure it was neatly trimmed. Rons love of music had him attend many concerts and travel to several folk festivals. Ron will be lovingly remembered by: his wife, Dianne; children Tannis (Brian) Fidler and their children Lainey and Kai, Jim and his son Dion; his step-children Pam Wilton (Steve) and Pams daughter Jessica, Drew (Claire) Wilton and their daughter Olivia and Sarah Wilton. Also surviving are his father Jim and wife Sarah; brothers Bryan and Barry; sister-in-law Dorothy and their families as well as numerous extended family members. Ron was predeceased by his mother Mildred and brother Wayne. The Celebration of Rons Life will take place at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church, 635 McDiarmid Drive, on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Darryl McAuley will officiate. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium.
