EASTGATE: John “Jack” passed away peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre on Saturday, December 7, 2013. He was born on April 9, 1939 in Rapid City, MB. Jack is survived by his cherished wife Pat and fondly remembered by his children Vince (Maureen) and Shannon (Jamie) Kohut. “Grandpa” or “Papa” will be missed by all his grandchildren: Tyson, Brooke, Riley and Jackson. Jack was predeceased by his father George Wilfred “Bill,” mother Sarah Elizabeth “Nan,” and sister Dorothy MacFarlane. A reception to celebrate Jack’s life will be held at the Victoria Inn, 3550 Victoria Avenue, Brandon on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. A private family service will take place at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium.
