STRAIN: With heavy hearts and fond memories the family of Robert Bryan (Bob) Strain announces the sudden passing on December 7, 2013. Bob was born July 14, 1945 in Brandon, Manitoba. Bob and Betty were married at a very young age and have been married for 51.5 years. Bob was predeceased by his youngest son Jody in 1994, his dad Matt Strain in 1984, his mom Charlotte Strain in 2001. Left to mourn is his loving wife and best friend Betty, 2 sons Brad (Judy), Jeff (Marcy, Ashley, Cody). Bob adored his grandchildren, Lyle, Brittany (Chris), Matthew, Oary and Veronica. Great-grandson little seth a roo (Seth). Bob had 2 other sons, Tracey and Glen, and thought the world of them. Bob also leaves 4 sisters behind, Marlene (Jim), Margie (Allan), Sharon (Gordon) and Val (Howard) whom he loved dearly, brother-in-law Edwin Huzyk and many nieces and nephews. Also, Bob had a very special cousin, Alf Denny where he spent most of his summers. Bob worked at Spears Ranch, Vic and Gerrys Solo Store, and Langford PRFA pasture for 15 years with John Peters. Bob practiced his skills on the 3 boys out in the yard, one thing the boys will always remember about Dad. Bob farmed with his Dad until his passing in 1984 and began farming with his son Jeff. He was in PMU for 30 years which involved the whole family and had a great love for Belgian horses. He has farmed on this land his whole life. Grandchildren (and great-grandchildren) spent a lot of time on the farm, whether it be helping grandpa out in the field or helping grandma in the house with baking. Bobs children and grandchildren and family meant everything to him and he meant everything to them. Bob was a life time member of the Belgian Association, Legion member, Director of the Carberry Agricultural Society and worked beside Bryon Steen for many years. Bob was a hard worker and loved nothing more than to be in on a horse deal. We love you and will always miss you. Your family. My life on earth is truly past I've loved you all to the very last Weep not for me but courage take and love one another for my sakeLove Dad
