WASHINGTON: Ken Washington passed away peacefully on December 16, 2013. He was born in Brandon, Manitoba, in 1933, and had eleven siblings. He is predeceased by his parents William and Doris Washington, first wife Alice Joy, grandson Jordan, brothers Robert, Lawrence, Ralph and sister Gwen. Ken is survived by his wife Muriel (nee Hay), daughter Brenda (Stormer), son Bill (Lidka), and four grandchildren, brothers Lew, Charlie, Jim, Don and sisters Marion, Pat and Doris. Ken served with the RCMP for 33 years; was the recipient of the Canadian Banks’ Law Enforcement Award and spent his later years in the Force as a homicide detective in Vancouver. Ken most recently lived in Richmond, B.C. A Celebration of Life to honor Ken will be held at a later date in Richmond, B.C.
