VANBESELAERE: Mr. Albert Vanbeselaere of Melita passed away at the Melita Personal Care Home on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the age of 81. Albert is survived by his seven children: Lorraine (Val) Pomedli of Pilger SK; Lorna Warsaba (Ken) of Melita; Ron (Deb) Vanbeselaere of Melita; Doug (Nancy) Vanbeselaere of Calgary, AB; Judy (Kelvin) Edwards of Medora; Terry (Lisa) Vanbeselaere of Reston; and Dwayne (Lynn) Vanbeselaere of Melita. He has 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren and 1 step great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers: Andy (Clara(deceased)) Vanbeselaere of Deloraine; Kenneth (Nadia) Vanbeselaere of Kelowna, B.C.; Victor Vanbeselaere of Melita; George (Gloria) Vanbeselaere of Melita; and sister Helen (Tom) Claeys of Deloraine; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Georgette (April 2013) and his parents, Maurice and Laura Vanbeselaere. Prayers will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Melita on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Paul Bisson as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Melita Cemetery. Donations in memory of Albert may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 4B 457 - 9th Street, Brandon, MB. R7A 1K2.
