WILKENSHALLELUJAH, it is with thankful hearts that we announce that Heinz Werner Wilkens of Brandon has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. Willy passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Feb. 4, 2014 with his beloved wife Laurie and son Jamie by his side. Heinz (Willy) was born in Meschede, Germany in 1963. He came to Canada with the German army in 1989 and served in Shilo. After the army, Willy was a man of many talents which took him through many various job sites: lumberjacking, taxi driver, school bus driver, proctor, trucking, farm laborer, office management at a fuel company and lastly working on the oil fields for Ensign Energ Serv. Incon rig #625. It was through these various jobs that he was blessed to meet so many people.Willy was predeceased by his dad in 1983. Left to celebrate his life is his wife Laurie, son Jamie; mama, Rosa Maria; in-laws Bob and Shirley Kimpinski; three brothers: Paul and Monika, Dieter and Anetta and Wolfgang and Mickall; two sisters: Gisela and Thomas and their children Tamara and Markus and Waltraud and Ullrich and daughter Lisa; brothers-in -law: Robin and Tracey and their children Brooke and Dylan; Chris and Kim and sister-in-law Brenda and Neal and their son Shane. A private family celebration of his life will take place.
