WOOD: It is with sadness that we announce the passing of George Wood. George passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2014 at his home, the Valleyview Care Centre. George is survived by daughters, Georgina (Dan) Miller, Roberta (Alain) DeGagne, Clayton (Carol Anne); Grandchildren: Barb (Phil) Lemky, Chris (Julie) Miller, Carolyn (Rob) McEwen, Kevin (Lindsay) Stinson, Christy (Jamie) Erickson, Colin (Aimee) Wood; Great Grandchildren: Madison, Jocelyn, Rylan, Kaylee, Claire, Camryn and Caitlyn. Funeral services were held on January 14, 2014 with Rev. Dwight Rutherford officiating. Carscadden Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. A private family interment was held following the service at Virden Cemetery.
