TWEED: Robert ( Bob) Tweed died peacefully March 11, 2014 at Killarney, MB. He was born at Medora, MB. on Dec 4,1918, the youngest child of Thomas and Mary Tweed. He attended Medora School & participated in local sports. As a farm boy, his mechanical talents became evident at an early age. In 1938 he met Elva Lamb and they were married in Moose Jaw in 1941. In 1943 they returned to Medora to open their business known as Tweed’s Garage. Their children; Grant, Karen, Clark & Mervin were born & and raised in Medora. A firm believer in the basic goodness of mankind, he did his best to lend a helping hand to friends and family. Our table was enriched by the many interesting guests he brought home for lunch or supper, often to the great surprise of our Mother. Although officially retired in 1990, Dad maintained a keen interest in the goings on of the business & he remained active in the community until his retirement to Killarney in 1998. Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife Elva in 2007. He is survived by his 4 children, their spouses, 7 grandchildren & 8 great grand children. We have been truly blessed and honoured to call him our Dad. A family burial will take place at the Medora Cemetery. A public celebration of his life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on March 22, 2014 at the Brendora Hall in Medora. Dad enjoyed the company of friends & we hope you can attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bayside PCH, Killarney MB. Or the Medora Cemetery Fund.Messages of condolences may be made online at www.wheatlandfs.comSmith’s Funeral Home204-747-2088 www.wheatlandfs.com
