ROBSON: Bonnie Rosina Robson passed away at Fairview Home in Brandon, MB on March 29, 2014 at the age of 68. Bonnie’s family extends their gratitude for the sensitive and diligent care that Bonnie received. Bonnie appreciated the staff who cared for her and frequently made her family aware. Bonnie is predeceased by her mother and father, Marjorie Rosina Robson (Ellis) and Keith Hedley Robson, and brother, Brian Robson. Bonnie is survived by her  ex-husband Don Johnston. Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her sons Glen and Graham Johnston and Graham’s son Avery of Brandon, MB, her brothers Brent and Brad Robson, sister Beverley Leckie, nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncle. Bonnie will be fondly missed by her great lifelong friends who generously maintained their friendship throughout Bonnie’s life. Over the past two years Bonnie delighted in the frequent visits she had with her grandson who accompanied his dad Graham. Although some new memories became difficult to make, Bonnie was grandma from the first moment. Bonnie was born in Saskatoon, SK on October 18, 1945, at the end of World War II while her father started his education in veterinary medicine. Bonnie grew up in the town of Selkirk MB and on the dairy farm at Clandeboye. Bonnie’s interests were in literature, art, philosophy and world issues, some of which she shared keenly with family and even more passionately with friends. Despite Bonnie’s deep personal interests she gave her energy fully to family whenever needed. As a young woman, Bonnie lent her help when she could take time away from her studies in Calgary, Alberta where she lived while completing her degree in Fine Arts with a major in art photography. This period reaped more lifelong friendships and led to her first professional photographic work at the World’s Fair in 1967 in Montreal; later Bonnie lived in New York City. While training in education, Bonnie met her future husband and together they moved to Ontario and worked in social services. Before the boys were born they moved back to Winnipeg where Bonnie taught art in public school, while simultaneously expanding her skills as an art photographer in her home photo lab built with the support of her husband. Bonnie maintained her passion for art photography even when her body quit permitting her to execute what her mind and eyes could capture. She only had time to share her work in a few professional exhibits before her health significantly impacted energy and mobility. Bonnie loved her world of images and ideas but never more than she loved her family. While Bonnie’s health was declining the family moved to Brandon, MB. Bonnie was dedicated to her family and took personal joy from contributing to their growth and in any way expanding their opportunities to be themselves. Bonnie will be missed by many and loved forever. Bonnie will be interred in a private service at Little Britain United Church cemetery in Lockport MB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your choice of charity or to the Fairview Home Foundation at 1351 13th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4S6. Condolences for the family may be offered online at  ronaldmoffitmemorialservices.com
