MIREAU: Lorna Iona Mireau (nee Watson). Lorna was born on May 21, 1920 in Roblin, Manitoba and died on April 29, 2014 in Saskatoon, SK, just a month short of 94. Lorna was predeceased by her husband, Ovila; her sisters, Marg, Beatrice, Lyla, Edith and brother, Harold. Left to mourn are her daughter, Marilyn (Jim) Joice and son, Lorne (Ruth) Mireau; as well as her grandchildren, Andrew, Tanya, Peter (Ashley), Greg, David (Cass), Simone (Dan) and great granddaughter, Olivia. As well, left to mourn are her brother-in-law, Ed (Sandy) and sister-in-law, Cecile. Lorna was a loving mom, dedicated wife, and devoted grandma. She was a meticulous seamstress, a wonderful cook and a master gardener. She recycled and composted long before it was fashionable. She used a hand tiller to work her garden, dug potatoes and pushed a snow shovel until she was 88. We celebrate a life lived well! The family would like to thank the staff of Amy McClure Place for providing a safe, structured and caring environment over the past couple of years. We would also like to thank the staff of Extendicare who provided compassionate care to our mom during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amy McClure House (c/o McClure Place Foundation, 1825 McKercher Dr, Saskatoon, SK S7H 5N5) or Hartney United Church, Hartney, Manitoba. A Memorial Service for Lorna will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7th at McClure United Church (4025 Taylor St. East, Saskatoon, SK). Arrangements in care of Lisa Ruf - Mourning Glory Funeral Services, Saskatoon, SK (306-978-5200) www.mourningglory.ca
