WALCZAK: Lillian Margaret May 25th, 1927- May 4th, 2014Margaret was predeceased by her husband Stanley (1992) and son Stanley Harper (1993) in Brandon, Manitoba also by her parents Harper and Amy Simmons, sister Emily and brothers Ernie and Fred. Survived by daughter Joyce (Danny) Fraser; Son Timothy (Janet) Walczak; Grandchildren Kurt (Catherine), Brad (Melissa) Fraser, Laura and Michelle (Aaron) Walczak. Eight Great Grandchildren Taylor, Jordan and Jacob Walczak; Lola, Ruby, Samantha, Isabella and Jaxon Fraser, By her sister’s Joyce (John) Makahanick and Grace Young. Also many nieces and nephews. Special sisters in law, Pat Simmons and Sheila Walczak and by her devoted friend Marilyn Ingham. Margaret was born and raised in Fort Frances, Ontario, she moved to Brandon, Manitoba in 1942, Married Stanley Walczak in 1944. Living in Brandon she devoted herself to raising her three children. She was an avid bowler and loved all sports. As a survivor of breast cancer she took great joy in her involvement with Dragon Boat paddlers (Waves of Hope). Moving to Maple Ridge in 2002 she enjoyed living in Haney Pioneer Village participating in the many activities. She was an active member of the Haney Presbyterian Church and as well enjoyed the friendship of the Haney Heart and Stroke walkers group. Margaret was a warm and caring woman with a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, she will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends for these qualities. For those who wish to donate in Margaret’s memory, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency or the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 16th, at the Haney Presbyterian Church, 11858 216th Street, Maple Ridge.Expressions of sympathy can be made at www.GardenHill.ca
