JOHNSTON: Mary Angela Johnston, of Brandon, beloved wife of Barry passed away at Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Mary was born at Grandview, Manitoba on October 18, 1943, daughter of Stephen (Steve) and Christine Stech. She lived on the family farm before moving into the town of Grandview. She attended the Grandview School to Grade 11 and then went to Winnipeg Hair Dressing School. For ten years she worked for other businesses before starting her own, which she ran for twenty years. Mary enjoyed camping, travelling, telling jokes, dancing, baking, motor bike riding and skidooing. She is survived by her husband, Barry and brother, Mike. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Christine, brother, Harry and sister, Elsie. A Graveside Service to Celebrate Mary's Life was held at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium, 18th Street South on Thursday May 22, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Lydia Glawson officiated.
