SHADFORTH: Anne Shadforth passed away at Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home, on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Anne was born on September 3, 1924 at Poltawka, Russia. She emigrated to Whitewater, Manitoba, Canada as a child with her parents and one brother, where she attended school locally. She married Henry Heide and they raised six children. In 1962, Henry died and in 1971, Anne married David Shadforth. David and Anne lived in Alberta before moving back to Manitoba. Anne was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing bingo and playing cards with the whole family. She loved having family over for meals and visits. Anne will be missed by her sons John (Sheila) and Ken (Gloria), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Henry; sons Allan and Arthur; daughters Sandra and Elaine and second husband David. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel, on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Joe Ball, Hospital Chaplain officiated. Great- grandsons Joshua and Zachary were urn bearers. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Anne may be made to Life's Vision, 327 - 4th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 3H1.
