DMYTERKO: Nicholas passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Fairview Personal Care Home with his family by his side. Nick was born to Peter and Mary on December 1, 1929 at Olha, MB. On June 20, 1957 he married Adeline Hachkowski and they resided in Brandon. Dad worked at Brandon General Hospital for 33 years as a plumber. They spent a good part of their life together at the farm near Marco. On August 10, 2006 he lost his loving wife of 49 years, Adeline. Dad will be forever and lovingly remembered by daughter Sharon (Ron) Holleman, grandsons Chris and Kevin (Airdrie); daughter Joan (Garry Tanasychuk) Dmyterko, grandsons Shawn (Tanya) and Craig (Tanya, her children Brayden and Haley); daughter Debbie (Dale) Hersack, grandsons Jason and Shane, and great grandchildren Jayenna, Brooklyn, and Crewe, all of whom he was very proud. He will also be missed by brother Steve (Janet) Dmyterko, sister Margaret Labay, and in-laws Ed and Natalia Hachkowski, and Lorne and Melvene Hachkowski, as well as nieces and nephews. Prayers were said at Memories Chapel, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Funeral Service took place at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 with Fr. Michael Tkachuk as Celebrant. Cantor was Mr. Tony Yuriy. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery.
