JONES: David F. Passed away suddenly at home in Brandon, Manitoba on June 4, 2014 at age 57. He leaves behind his daughters Heather Jones (Brian) and Ashley Jones Mulvihill (Ryan), and grandchildren Lance, Reece, Christian, Evan and Bradyn. Predeceased by his father David Alun Jones (2005), he is survived by his loving mother Mary Winifred, sister Kathryn, niece Sierra and cousins in England and the U.S. Born in England and raised in Thunder Bay, David spent many happy years in Canada’s remote north. As a meteorologist, and later as a flight services specialist, with what is now NavCanada, David was stationed in Isachsen, Rankin Inlet, Baker Lake and Churchill, before retiring to Brandon. Private graveside service will take place at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, Oakville, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local humane society.
