LAMB: Harriet Cornelia Rose Marie Lamb (nee Corbey); beloved mom of Gerald (Bobbie), Michael (Laura), Robert (Kim), and Jeff; passed away at Brandon Palliative Care on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the age of 66 years with family at her side. Harriet will be lovingly remembered by her sons and their families; grandchildren; her mother Gabrielle Corbey; brothers John (Emily), Frank (Eileen); sisters Mary-Anne, Vicky (Derrick); Uncle Chris (Marie); brothers-in-law Keith and Kenneth Lamb and families; and many nieces and nephews. Harriet was predeceased by her husband Dennis Lamb on Dec. 23, 2003 and her father Victor Corbey on May 30, 1995. Harriet was born on September10, 1947 in Thorn, Netherlands (Limburg). Along with her parents, brothers and Uncle Chris, she immigrated to Rivers, MB, Canada in 1953. Harriet grew up on a farm near Oak River and attended school there. Harriet was a meat cutter for safeway for several years and worked at MacKenzie Seed Company until her retirement. Harriet loved to spend time with her sons and grandchildren. She would cheer on her grandsons, whatever sport they were in, driving to many arenas and parks to watch them play. She loved reading, doing crosswords and puzzles. In keeping with Harriet’s wishes, cremation with a private family service was held at Campbell Funeral Chapel, Hamiota, on June 19, 2014 with interment following in the Pettapiece Cemetery.
