ROBBINS: Allen Burl Robbins, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 20, 2014, with family by his side. Allen was born July 2, 1943 in Killarney, MB and brought home to the family homestead in the Freedale district of Rorketon, MB where he was raised and continued to live in the area. Allen was a devoted father and grandfather and will lovingly be remembered by his children, daughter Shannon and grandson Joshua, son Shaun (Stacy) and grandsons Austin, Wade, Colby and Reid. He is also survived by his brother Ron (Claudette), sister Thelma (Wayne Sawatsky), sister-in-law Rita Robbins, brother-in-law Keith Hopfner and the mother of his children Helen Gibson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Allen was predeceased by his parents, Hector and Etta Robbins, his brothers John (Jean) and Wilfred and his sisters Ella (Johnny Marcoux) and Evelyn. Allen, as a teenager started his career in the heavy construction industry, changed his profession in the early 1980’s to Diamond Drilling and returned to heavy construction until his retirement. Allen purchased a farm in the late 1960’s where he and his family raised beef and the odd pork. Dad was taken very suddenly from us and the time we had with him, will be forever cherished. He was the best Dad/Grandpa/Papa ever and loved his family unconditionally. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Sneath -Strilchuk Ste. Rose Chapel in charge of arrangements. ~~LOVE YOU FOREVER~~
