EDMUNDS: Joyce Edmunds of Brandon, passed away peacefully at her residence, Fairview Home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the age of 86 years. She will be deeply missed by her sons Brian (Joan), Mark (Colleen), daughter Carol (Avelino) and grandsons Kevin and Brent. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Leslie in 2003. Joyce was born on March 31, 1928 in Winnipeg. She went to hairdressing school in Shoal Lake. After Leslie left the military in 1947, Leslie and Joyce were married and moved to Brandon, where they resided since. Joyce worked as a housekeeper for different hotels, worked in an assembly line at Pioneer Electric and was a cashier at Woolco. She enjoyed long drives in the country, gardening and flowers. She also had a love for all animals. A graveside service will be held at the Brandon Cemetery on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Arlene Robertson officiating. The many friends she has made over the years will be considered honorary pallbearers.
