PEARSON: Jeannette Rose Pearson, age 58 of Rivers, passed away on the evening of Saturday, July 12, 2014. She was born to Samuel and Mary Grande in Winnipeg on October 29, 1955. Jeannette grew up in Winnipeg then moved to Rivers at the age of 16 where she met the love of her life, Roderick Pearson. Jeannette and Rod married on April 15, 1972 and soon after had their first child together, Robert. Not long after, they had their two girls, Jennifer and Tammy. If three children weren't enough, Rod and Jeannette decided to foster 42 children in Winnipeg. Jeannette was always busy trying to keep up with her flower bed, which she considered her heaven on earth. Her other passions were bingo, auctions, fishing or quading. She was a devoted wife and mother, her life revolved around making sure everyone was looked after and well fed. Her home was always a gathering place for all her family and friends, serving coffee and dainties to all. She is survived by her husband Rod, three kids Robert (Patches) Pearson, Jennifer Pearson and Tammy Machut, lifelong foster children Michael Redhead, Eliza Flett and Charlotte Harper, grandchildren Samantha, Joel, Sara Machut, Cole, David, and Kateland Pearson, and Logan and Gauge Baker. She is predeceased by her mother and father Mary and Samuel Grande, son in law Jason Machut, and mother and father in law Louie and Gladys Pearson. The funeral service will be held at the Rivers United Church, Rivers, MB on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Rivers Cemetery.Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com.
